Cookie Wilson

Cookie Wilson was born in Elise, NC in Moore Co. to Ilene and Howard Garner. She attended Pinehurst Elementary School in Pinehurst, NC and graduated from Pinehurst High School as valedictorian of her class. She was a recipient of the Tufts Loyalty Award (an award presented to the class member who had achieved the most in his or her four years in high school).

Cookie played on the Pinehurst High School Basketball Team for four years (as a forward) and received the "Best Sportmanship" award. She is an avid Wake Forest "Demon Deacon" fan and a "die hard" Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan.

Tom Wilson and Cookie met on a blind date when Cookie was a student at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. They were married in January of 1957 and have been married for 45 years. They have two children, Suzanne Wilson and Tonya Hodges. Cookie appreciated all types of music and feels she has been blessed to be the pianist at Unity Baptist Church for 30 years now. Her greatest desire is to be the kind of Christian who could befriend and witness to those persons who have not yet become personally acquainted with Christ and the wonderful life He can give to those who trust Him totally.
